If you cannot discern between an ordinary supper and a communion service you need to think carefully about what you are doing. The notion that we need an ordained person to officiate at the communion service is essentially a throwback to the mass in the Roman Catholic church. I agree that in the church setting things need to be done in an orderly fashion, but I know a number of circumstances where "officials" are not available and communion was held.
