Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. My cousin, Kat, sent me this to prepare for my future job hunt post-college graduation. I am so thankful she did. This book was jam-packed with insightful and helpful information and resources. The author also managed to take something so monotonous, and make it a fun read.
Unemployed and feeling down?
This was an ARC advanced review copy , so there were bound to be mistakes. I wasn't expecting quite so many, otherwise this would get a 5 star rating. Apr 17, Rebecca rated it it was ok. I got this book as a freebie through the giveaways on goodreads. I decided to read it and review it because I committed to reading every book I get from a giveaway.
Of course, in between entering the drawing and getting the book in the mail, I got a job! I did it the old fashioned way- with a reference from a friend. Still, having a good, well thought out resume didn't hurt, and it's important to have a personalized cover letter. Actually, a lot of the stuff I knew about writing a resume was cov I got this book as a freebie through the giveaways on goodreads.
We will all get there eventually; it just takes a bit of time and a lot of work! But what I do know is one day I will be myself again and that I will reach my goals.
